My sewing room is my happy place — really my whole little cottage is my happy place — but I especially like to be in my sewing room. It is small, and serves as a guest room during holidays. It has a closet that is a decent size, but it is a little like the wardrobe with a doorway into Narnia. In that closet is a door with access to the steps up to the attic, and that is where I have my fabric, and yarn, stored! Since I have all that hidden storage, my sewing room should be tidy. It is not.
I recently saw a hashtag for #Honestsewingroom and it inspired me to be honest. Soooooooo…….I am going to share a picture of it. This is NOT pinterest-worthy. I don’t even know if I should share it here, but I am going to. Because itt looks ever-so-slightly better in black and white, I changed the photos so no one’s head would explode upon viewing this.
My sewing space isn’t always this way, but when I’m feeling creative it is. This weekend I’ll be cleaning it up (thank heaven). Right now it looks like a fabric bomb went off in there, and yet it still makes me happy.
I hope you also have a some happy place where you can create!

Happy sewing!

When I had a craft room, it looked like this too! Creative is messy! I am often suspicious of people on Instagram that have a perfectly organized craft room. They must of used photoshop 🙂
I always say creativity is not pretty. Thanks for making me feel better about my mess.
